Among these forces are sweeping demographic change, declining provincial funding, revolutionary advances in information and communications technology, globalization, competition from new educators, pressure on the market to develop learning and theoretical approaches towards profit-driven providers, and the increasing demands and strain fundamental changes in public policy and public responsibility of assuming the role of higher education in addressing the pressing issues of communities and society as a whole. Some of these challenges would be significant on its own, but collectively they increase the complexity and difficulty for education to sustain or advance the fundamental work of serving the common good.

A Common Agenda
The Common Agenda is intended to be a “living” document and open process that leads to collective action and learning among committed partners within and outside of higher education. As a living document, Common Agenda is a collection of focused activities aimed at promoting civil, social and cultural role in society. This merger created, implemented, and focused Common Agenda respects the diversity of activities and programmatic foci of individuals, organizations and networks, as well as recognizes the common interests of the whole. As an open process, the Common Agenda is a structure to connect work and relationships of mutual interest focusing on academic role in serving the community. Various modes of aliening and amplify the collective work within and outside the education will be provided in the Common Agenda process.
This method is understandably ambitious and unique in its purpose and use. Finally, the Common Agenda challenges the system of higher education, and those who view education as important to address the pressing issues of the community, to act deliberately, joint, and clearly a growing and significant set of commitments society. Currently, there are four broad issue areas the focus of a common agenda: 1) To build public awareness and support civic projects and our actions; 2) The development of networks and partnerships, 3) infusion and strengthen the value of civic responsibility in the culture of a university; and 4) Embedding civic engagement and social responsibility in the reconstruction of the education system
VISION We have a vision of the university that cultivates individual prosperity, institutional response and inclusivity and social health by promoting and practicing learning, scholarship and participation that respects universal needs . Our universities are proactive and respond to pressing social, moral and economic problems facing our communities and greater society. Our students are people of integrity who embrace diversity and are socially responsible and civilly engaged life.
MISSION Common Purpose program is to create a framework to organize, guide and disseminate the values and practices of education based on the civil, social and economic obligations to diverse democratic system.
I believe social justice, ethics, equity, education and social change for the positive effects are fundamental to the work of higher education. We believe that the relationship between communities and educational institutions to build on the values equal, respect and reciprocity, and work in education to be interactive with other organizations and individuals in the community.
We will strive to consolidate and extensive cooperation with all types of organizations and devoted individuals within and outside the university.
We realize the interconnection of politics, power and privilege. The Common Agenda is not for the higher education self-serving, but to “walk the talk” given the betrothed public goals. We understand Common Agenda as a dynamic living document, and expect activity it takes to change the time.
THE COMMON AGENDA Framework general framework for a common agenda is indicated in the following table. It is clear that while the goals and action items are organized and aliened within certain issue areas, there is overlap and complimentarity among the issues, objectives and action items.
